ABOUT BLACKHOUSE

Our associations with the black color in European culture are quite complex. In some ways we averse to it because it represents for us darkness, shadow, the unseen and therefore the unknown, and yet in most cases, if we want to express elegance, we wear black or dress the world around us in black.

 

According to Feng Shui, black is the embodiment of water as the basic element of our existence, representing calmness, wisdom and quiet contemplation.

 

With the BlackHouse, we wanted to create a timeless, complex living space for our family and guests, creating a unity between the built and natural environment, an interplay between wood and metal, green and black, cold and warm, and ultimately between the living and the non-living.

 

The project aims to integrate geometric buildings and objects with a deliberately somewhat industrial feel in the changing forms of nature, creating harmony, unity and timelessness in a 1,500 sqm area. For a sense of inside and outside, it consciously creates spaces, buildings, a pool, a garden kitchen, so that those who live here, whether for a short or long period of time, regardless of the season or the weather, can become part of nature, mutually protecting and safeguarding each other, experiencing a sense of joy, happiness and relaxation.
